DOWNLOAD NOW! DOWNLOAD NOW! “‘Hold the Girl’ was the first song I wrote for the record at the end of 2020,” she said in the interview. “I had gone to therapy and had a revelation, so I decided to write this song… that was the start of [the writing process for the album]. I was crying before going into the studio to write about it.” Sawayama has also announced that she’ll be heading out on a North American tour following the release of Hold the Girl. She’ll perform in 13 venues across the United States, kicking things off at Brooklyn’s Avant Gardner before trekking up and down the East Coast, through Texas and the Southwest, and into California, with her final date at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. Hold the Girl is out September 16 via Dirty Hit. The album will include the recent singles “Catch Me in the Air” and “This Hell” and follow her 2020 self-titled debut album. Sawayama recently played “This Hell” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and the song later received an Ali Kurr–directed music video. Rina Sawayama has shared ‘Phantom’, another cut from her forthcoming album ‘Hold The Girl’ which is released next month. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD ALBUM CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD ALBUM ‘Phantom’ is a pop ballad about Sawayama reassessing her needs versus other people’s. It follows on from last month’s ‘Hold The Girl‘ as well as ‘This Hell’ and ‘Catch Me In The Air’ which were shared earlier this year. Speaking about her new song, Sawayama said: “I realised as an adult that I have spent my whole life pleasing other people and not realising it – constantly pushing my boundaries and not realising the difference between what I wanted to do and what other people wanted from me. Through the lyrics in the verse I’m trying to tell this story and then in the choruses I’m morning the loss of my real self.” ‘Hold The Girl’ is now due on September 16 via Dirty Hit, two weeks later than originally planned due to “production issues”. Meanwhile, Sawayama recently announced a US headline tour for November – find any remaining tickets here. A month prior to that tour she will embark on a UK and Ireland headline run, where a Cardiff show was recently added due to “phenomenal demand” (find tickets here). Earlier this summer the London singer-songwriter discussed how she was inspired by the “fake stories” on Taylor Swift‘s ‘Folklore’ for her new album

Yungblud has announced an exclusive livestream to showcase some “raw” versions of songs from his forthcoming album. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD ALBUM CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD ALBUM Posting the news on Twitter, Yungblud wrote: “imma do an exclusive livestream tonight to share some stripped back raw as fuck versions of brand new tracks from the album for the first time. chewn in at 6pm PT tonight!” The Doncaster singer is set to release his self-titled new album on September 2 via Locomotion/Geffen, and it’s been previewed so far by the singles ‘Don’t Feel Like Feeling Sad Today’, ‘The Funeral’ and the Willow-assisted ‘Memories’. Speaking to NME recently, Harrison said the album was simply titled ‘Yungblud’ as an act of self-empowerment. He explained: “The name Yungblud, as it’s gotten bigger, has been twisted relentlessly as every single person has had an opinion on who I am. This album is not a ‘woe is me’ rockstar story; it’s about me reclaiming my own name, and humanising the caricature that everybody else has made me into.” The timing of the livestream means it will take place at 2am in the early hours of tomorrow morning (August 25) for UK fans – see full details below, and check out how to watch the livestream here.
